Deeper Study of Matthew 13:35 After Jesus had spoken in parables to the multitudes, he says that he did so, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables ; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world" (Matt. 13:35). Jesus is quoting Psalm 78:2 which says, "I will open my mouth in parables: I will utter things which have been kept secret ." I WILL UTTER THINGS KEPT SECRET The mystery will be made known "I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp." (Psa 49:4 KJV) New things will be declared even before they happen "Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them."
